The Support of Youth Enterprises in Rural Areas in Ethiopia program aims to launch an initiative to create 180,000 jobs for Ethiopian youth in 3 years, by providing a partial credit guarantee to Oromia Credit & Saving, the second largest microfinance institution in Ethiopia. The ultimate goal is to facilitate youth access to financial services to economically empower them and create job opportunities, thus leading to the development of local communities, alleviating poverty, unemployment, and the internal migration of youth from rural and remote areas to the cities.
